Deaf Expo and DSD 5k run/walk (Sept. 24, 2022)

When: September 24, 2022

Where: Delaware School for the Deaf, 630 E. Chestnut Hill Road, Newark, DE 19713

2022 Hear We Go 5K – Join the “We Love Lucy” team (Lucy Carty, DSD student)

EVENT DETAILS

Date: Saturday, June 11, 2022                                 

Time: Registration begins 5 pm; Run/Walk begins at 6 pm

Place: Nemours Estate – 1600 Rockland Road, Wilmington, DE 19803

And anywhere that’s convenient for you. Your neighborhood, a park, or even a school track.  Watch for more information about special pop-up sites where you can pick up your tshirts in a socially distant way! And remember, anyone can join your team – even if they live in California! That’s the beauty of a virtual event!

Registration fee: $20 up until May 1st; $25 up to June 8; $30 day of race

Registration deadline: If you want to receive a T-Shirt you must register by May 7th. Online registration will be open and available until June 8th at 12:00pm after that you will have to register at the event on June 11th.

Amenities: All participants registered by March 1, 2022 will receive a  “Hear We Go!” 5K short-sleeved t-shirt.  Shirts will be available for pick-up only. Stay tuned for more information about pick-up dates and times. 

You will also have the option, when registering, to select “No T-Shirt” so that more of the proceeds may be used directly toward the mission.

Deaf Day at Knoebels Amusement Park (Elysburg, PA)

Members of the Bloomsburg University senior interpreter training class will provide on-stage interpretation with support/mentoring from Pennsylvania state-registered interpreters. All interpreters volunteer their time at the event, which was first held in 2007.

Shows will take place at the Hawaiian Band Shell and Time Machine Theater. Show times TBD.
