For the deaf-blind person, the combination of vision and hearing loss can make for a confined and isolating existence. A startup in Boston is developing a robot to expand communication and access to information. VOA’s Tina Trinh has more.

Film Casting Opportunity (Philadelphia – Sept. 18, 2023)

Seeking people 18+ (to play 20s-30s) with disabilities to share their experience with technology and entertainment. Talent will all disabilities encouraged to submit, especially low vision and D/deaf/Hard of Hearing individuals. 

 
Project will shoot in the Philadelphia area, participants must be able to work as a Philadelphia local, on 9/18.
 
This project is non-union.  If after an initial interview and potential callback, talent is selected for the project it will pay $500 for the shoot day and $1,225 when it is used. 1 Year of usage.
